Zombi Music for Deadlifting is No Good

How cool is this? Just received some feedback from the trainer of Baltimore Raven, Dennis Pitta.

The trainer said, "Your decision to help trainers and everyone get healthier, has directly (well, you know what I mean) helped one of the Baltimore Ravens. Dennis Pitta, #88, has been one of my clients for the past couple of off-seasons. Your help, efforts, workouts, information, encouragement have all helped me to help Dennis. You helped me, to help Dennis, to help the Ravens to win. A very small, maybe immeasurable part of his Super Bowl ring is because of you. Believe it!! "

(PS - If you're a 49'ers fan, please don't be mad at me!)

My training today: Hang Clean for speed, Sumo deadlift, rack pull, military press. GT's.

Unfortunately, my Beats-by-Dre earbuds just broke, so I'm at the mercy of the sirius xm classic vinyl selection at the gym. today was bad. very bad. During my heavy deadlifting, I had to listen to "The time of the season for loving" by The Zombies (wait, they had Zombies in the 60's?). Weird.

Yesterday was an airport travel day. I ended up eating a lot of nuts and apples. Now I have 2 days here in Toronto, then 2 days on the farm near Stratford, then 2 days in Michigan for more HWR filming, then 4 days on the farm, then a week back in Toronto, then back to the farm for 2 days, then back to Tampa for 5 days to celebrate Joel Marion's daughter's 2nd birthday. She's an adorable little kiddo.

Now some training news...

Today's Kickbutt Mindset Tips:
“Many of you are hedging your bets, waiting for something good to happen BEFORE you express appreciation. This is the wrong way to go about it. Go out looking for things to appreciate – starting with the way things are, whether that reality is convenient for you or not – and riches will begin to flow toward you in ever-widening circles.” – Dr. Gay Hendricks

Every time you say yes to something, you are saying no to something else. When you say yes to more work, you say no to more time with family. You must think about the right choice. How you spend your time is one of the most important decisions you’ll ever make.

You control everything. Your success is your responsibility. Dress for success. Speak for success. Plan for success. Be prepared for opportunity. Be confident. Be the expert.

Share your goals with the RIGHT people - the ones who will encourage you, motivate you, and connect you with others who will move you forward towards your goals. Constantly take action - one step closer to your goals every day (baby step or giant step, doesn't matter).
